Wedded Bliss

Peace & Quiet...

Great isn't it? my dearest wife has scarpered off back to the emerald isle for a couple of days and left me all on my tod.

We think it may be bad timing but who the hell knows anymore, certainly not me. Anyway, it's just two days so in the long run it probably will do us good, a bit of space and a chance for my crown jewels to attend the testicular equivalent of Betty Ford's.

So, what lies ahead for these two days then ?
-A half assed botched paint job on the porch.
-An unrepaired bicycle as I neglected to get the correct measurements before heading off to buy the parts.
-Freshly packing a not-to-be-used gym bag.
-Football, football, football (Saaawker, Saaawker, Saaawker for anyone further west than Galway).
-Far too much time on PC maintenance.

Bliss.

Well, that's it frankly... it's surprising how little I have to say when I can't talk about doing the squelchy....

Hmmm...you get to renew the stock and all that. Emerald Isle? Really? Without you?

This relaxation time may be just what the doctor ordered. I've seen others going through the same thing that you are going through and it can be very stressful.

When my wife and I decided to start a family we agreed that we would not "try" to have a baby...we just wouldn't prevent it.

I think that "trying" to have a baby can be very stressful. Who, what, when, where, and how... Details, details, details...

My advice... enjoy life. Enjoy all of the sex! Don't make a job out of it.

It worked for us. It wasn't stressful at all and 8-9 months later we were expecting.

Stay strong, man. It will all work out in the end.

Yep, Ireland, home originally. Just a flying visit for a family event.
I'm gonna be there twice in November and longer at Christmas anyway so I gave this one a miss.

Jared:
Generally we are not stressing about it at all, its just that one or two days every month when it hasn't worked out that gets tough.

Other than that I think we are enjoying ourselves, although it would be foolish to think that the issue isn't very far beneath the surface.

I must say I'm genuinely surprised at how long this seem to bloody take generally. You say 8-9 months, others have said the same, or 1.5 years, or worse...

How the hell did all my sisters & schoolmates get knocked up so easily?

One word for ya: Luck. No matter if it takes 1 month or years and years, it will always seem like the luckiest chance thing in the world. So keep on rollin' the dice! :)

You know what, I think that's about as accurate as it gets, luck.

The dice are being rolled so much I'm slightly concerned one may come loose and roll away under the sofa...!

I'm quite optimistic this month, it wasn't quite 'by the book' but it was very relaxed and fun.
