I can't think of funny right now. So facts will have to do.
Some Definitions...
Sperm motility:
The percentage of all moving sperm in a semen sample. In a semen sample, 50% or more of the sperm should normally be moving rapidly
Laziness:
1. not wanting to work: unwilling to do any work or make an effort.
2. conducive to idleness: contributing to an unwillingness to work or make an effort.
3. slow: moving slowly
Quote from one of a billion fertility sites:
"No patient ever wants to hear the truth that there is really no effective treatment available today for increasing the sperm motility ."
Houston, we have a serious fucking problem. Absolute nightmare.
P.S. I'll come back on the reviews and stuff in a few days

I'm truly sorry to hear that the results from the test weren't positive. I've only been reading your blog for a short time and I've already been inspired by your quest for parenthood. Let's hope there are other options out there for you and your lovely wife. Good luck and stay strong.
I am more than sorry to be reading this. I truly am. My heart is breaking for you and ET.
I can't think of funny right now. I am just so so sad for you.
stiff upper lip and all. just keep trying and explore other avenues that you may have.
sorry to hear this man. I can imagine you are gutted. Not the end of the world though mate. Chin up. You will work something out, positive.
Sorry to hear all that. Good luck in whatever you and your wife decide to do from here.
Dude, I can't even start to imagine what you are feeling like right now... Keep your head up! Don't get discouraged! This battle isn't over yet!
NO! NO! NO!!!! Crap. I'm REALLY, truly sorry.
Soo, um, what exactly does that mean? NO guys or just very few? (Although we did fertility, this wasn't our issue--but I DO know how it feels for it to be *you're* issue and not your spouse's, and for that, come cry on my shoulder--I can give LOTS of support!) You'd be surprised what they can do with very few swimmers.
DON'T LOSE HOPE! Trust me (and my magical lesbian). This is all in a day's work for your doc. Until they tell you all hope is lost (and they WILL), there IS HOPE.
As PG says, chin up. Stay positive. It's all just part of the work-up they need to do to know WHAT to address. In that sense, it's progress. At least they know WHAT the problem is and can start working to get you guys pregnant. Really, it isn't the end!!
leaves a slab of beer on the doorstep.. then nicks off...
comes back later with a bottle of whiskey.....
xxx kim
I'm so sorry to hear the news. I really really am. Hugs to you and your wife.
I know a couple, the husband had VERY few swimmers and they pretty much didn't want to do ANYTHING. The couple was told that it would be virtually impossible to do it on their own. They tried in vitro and they got pregnant both times they tried it, on the first try, with only one egg implanted each time. Now they have 2 absolutely perfect, healthy little boys. ..just sayin'... there are ways...
You and your wife are in my prayers. Take care.
HUGE hugs for both you and ET.
I am so very sorry the news isn't better.
I'm very, very sorry.
Keep the faith, my dear. There may not be treatments, but there are solutions. It will happen. You and your wife are in my thoughts.
Its not all bad man, there are always other ways. We tried for two years till we went in vitro fertilization ( turkey baster method ). But with that you do have the increased chance of having multiples due to the fertility shots.
On a positive note, when you have to give them your sample to implant, you already have experience hitting the cup. I am sure Grizzley Adams will be happy to see you again. : ) Chin up all is not lost.
to EVERYONE... thank you VERY much for your comments.
I really appreciate every single one of them, and it's a great source of hope that there are plenty of success stories out there.
I love the distinct difference between the guys and the girls responses, "Chin up now get on with it" and "aww you poor things" from the girls. Brilliant.
Never fear, we are not finished yet, not by a long chalk. It's not the route we thought we'd take, but our destination is the very same.
If you're interested, you can follow it all here, with hopefully a lot of laughs along the way.
THANK YOU ALL, from ET & myself.
Bugger. But at least now you know.
As for the comments, it's pretty much a given that women will empathize, and men will try to solve.
But we all care.
Those two terms describe me:
sperm motility: I killed sperm by forcing my husband to get a vasectomy.
laziness: I define myself as a lazy perfectionist.
Sorry... just trying to lighten the mood.
Fuck.
Can I say fuck here? Well how about shit? No?
Well that sucks my friend. Sending cyber hugs and wine across the oceans.
Damn, sorry.
Take care,
g.

(chclkshhh)uh... just a minor set back buddy. we'll work on this from our end so hang tight. over.
(chclkshhh) uh... x this is houston again a solution is on it's way in the form of in vitro. see you back home. over.
